Vidaamuyarchi is a straightforward action thriller starring Ajith in the principal role. The film, which draws loose inspiration from the Hollywood movie Breakdown, centers on a couple experiencing difficulties in their marriage. During what is intended to be their final road trip together, a car malfunction compels the wife to accept a ride from another Indian couple they encounter on the road. This decision results in her enigmatic disappearance, leaving the husband to search for her alone. The cast includes notable actors such as Trisha, Arjun, Regina Cassandra, Aarav, among others.

The film opened to positive reviews from critics. However, it did not transition at the box office, given the film with the film staggering at the box office to cross Rs 100 crore in India.

Meanwhile, Ajith Kumar is gearing up for the release of his next film Good Bad Ugly, which is scheduled to release on April 10. It is written and directed by Adhik Ravichandran.
