Laandhar, the upcoming Tamil film starring actor Vidaarth in the lead role, has completed its censor formalities and has received U/A certificate. The film is all set to hit big screens on June 21. Vidaarth was last seen in Anjaamai, which released recently and is currently running in theatres.

Laandhar gets censor certificate

Actor Vidaarth was recently seen in Tamil film Anjaamai. While the film is currently running in theatres, the actor’s next film is gearing up for release. Titled Laandhar, the film is all set to release on June 21 in theatres.

Ahead of it, the makers announced on social media that the censor formalities of the film have been completed. Laandhar has received U/A certificate from the censor board. Apart from Vidaarth, the upcoming film’s cast also includes actors Swetha Dorathy, Vibin, Sahana, Pasupathi Raj, Gajaraj, and others.

The film is written and directed by Sajisaleem, with cinematography handled by Gnana Sowmdhar. The editor is Barath Vikraman, with music scored by M.S. Prraveen. Laandhar is produced by Shri Vishnu under the banner M Cinema Production.

Laandhar is touted to be a crime thriller with some mystery elements. However no official teaser or trailer of the film has been released by the makers so far. The plot of Laandhar has been kept under wraps. But going by a few posters released, Vidaarth will be playing the role of a police officer.

It is to be noted that Laandhar will be Vidaarth’s third release this year. Earlier in February this year, the actor was seen in horror thriller Devil. The film is available for streaming on Aha Tamil and OTTplay Premium. Vidaarth was also seen in Anjaamai which released a week ago. A social drama, the actor played the role of a farmer and father who goes lengths to make dreams of his son becoming a doctor, come true.
