The craze for Valimai updates had gone beyond control with unrelated celebrities being quizzed about the latest development.

The ongoing pattern of delays associated with Vidaamuyarchi has led to increasing frustration among Ajith's fans, particularly as his other film, Good Bady Ugly, which was initially slated for a Pongal 2025 release, had to be postponed to accommodate Vidaamuyarchi. Directed by Magizh Thirumeni and produced by Lyca Productions, the creators of Vidaamuyarchi have yet to provide any definitive timeline regarding the film's release. Many observers believe that the Pongal festive season, a significant period for the theatrical market in Tamil Nadu, has now become a missed opportunity for various projects that could have capitalized on this advantageous window.

Suresh Kamatchi, the producer of Vanangaan, which is also set to release during Pongal, has voiced his concerns regarding the makers of Vidaamuyarchi, who appeared uncertain about their release schedule. He stated, "I was not informed about the definitive status of their release. Had I been aware, I could have made a more informed decision. If they could provide an announcement in advance, it would enable other films to plan accordingly. As producers, we must maintain a level of discipline. This matter does not pertain solely to actors or technicians."

The producers have confirmed a delay in the release of Vidaamuyarchi; however, fans of Ajith Kumar have expressed their dissatisfaction on social media, inquiring about the new release date. As of now, Lyca Productions has not provided any updates regarding this matter.

The anticipated release of Vidaamuyarchi is projected for 2025. Nevertheless, with other major films scheduled for release this year, such as Vikram’s Veera Dheera Sooran in January, Thug Life featuring Kamal Haasan in June, and Thalapathy 69 in October, the producers of Vidaamuyarchi face the challenge of identifying a suitable and profitable release date.
