Vidaamuyarchi's box office earnings on its first day: The Tamil adaptation of the 1997 American film Breakdown, directed by Magizh Thirumeni, premiered in theatres this Friday. As reported by Sacnilk, the film, featuring Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan, is projected to have garnered ₹15.99 crore net in India on its opening day.

The website indicates that the film debuted with a net collection of ₹15.99 crore in India this Friday. It experienced strong attendance in theatres, achieving occupancy rates of 58.81% in the morning, 60.27% in the afternoon, and 54.79% in the evening. Notably, Trichy and Pondicherry surpassed Chennai in occupancy, recording rates of 92.00% and 91.67%, respectively, while Chennai's occupancy stood at 88.33%. Ajith's previous release, Thunivu, which premiered in 2023, garnered ₹24.4 crore net in India on its first day. It remains uncertain whether the film's earnings will increase or maintain momentum throughout the weekend.

Additionally, other footage captured fans igniting firecrackers within the theatre and engaging in disputes with law enforcement attempting to manage the crowd.
