Chhaava's runtime and rating info has been released
Vicky's historical drama Chhaava is one of the most anticipated films of 2025. Originally scheduled to hit theaters in December 2024, its release was pushed back because of Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule. The trailer just dropped, and it really wowed the online crowd. With the release date approaching, the buzz is off the charts. It's been reported that the film has been cleared by the CBFC and has earned a U/A certificate.
Chhaava has been given a UA 16+ rating, as per the CBFC website, and it runs for 161 minutes and 50 seconds, which is about 2 hours and 41 minutes. This nearly three-hour film is set to showcase the rich history of the Maratha Empire. With outstanding performances and Utekar's exceptional direction, viewers can expect a grand cinematic experience that takes them back in time.
Chhaava's debut track
The Chhaava team recently dropped their first track, "Jaane Tu," in Hyderabad, and it was quite the event! A.R. Rahman’s music shines with his signature style, and the poetic lyrics by Irshad Kamil beautifully express the essence of love, all brought to life by Arijit Singh’s soulful voice. AR Rahman shared his thoughts on the song, saying, "With 'Jaane Tu,' I aimed for the music to reflect the timeless love between Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Maharani Yesubai, while also resonating with today’s audience. The goal was to create a piece that connects the historical with the modern. Arijit’s rich and emotional vocals envelop the melody, taking listeners on a journey filled with longing and hope. His classical training and passionate performance elevate the song to a level that only a few artists can achieve."
Chhaava is gearing up to make its big-screen debut on February 14, 2025.
