Chhaava Box Office Trends

Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Pictures, Chhaava chronicles the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the second ruler of the Maratha Empire, who reigned from 1681 to 1689. Initial reports suggest that Chhaava is experiencing attendance levels comparable to those observed on Day 9. However, there has been a slight decline in afternoon ticket sales as viewers have opted to watch the India vs. Pakistan match in Dubai, which commenced at 2:30 PM. Despite this temporary reduction, evening attendance may rebound depending on the match's outcome. Current projections indicate that the film is likely to achieve a robust ₹40 crore on Sunday. According to Sacnilk, on its ninth day, coinciding with the film's second Saturday, Chhaava generated ₹44 crore at the domestic box office. Chhaava commenced its box office journey with remarkable success, generating ₹31 crore on its opening day, February 14. This was followed by earnings of ₹37 crore on Saturday and ₹48.5 crore on Sunday. However, the film experienced a decline on Monday, bringing in ₹24 crore, and maintained a similar performance throughout the weekdays. It garnered ₹25.25 crore on Tuesday, ₹32 crore on Wednesday, coinciding with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, ₹21.5 crore on Thursday, and ₹23 crore on Friday.
