Preetisheel Singh is the artist responsible for creating Vicky Kaushal's chilling appearance in the climax of his recent film, Chhaava. On Saturday, the prosthetic artist took to Instagram to showcase images of the actor on set, providing an intimate look at her craftsmanship.

The making of Chhaava

One image depicted Vicky in what appeared to be a vanity van, covered in artificial blood, with pieces of prosthetic skin and flesh hanging from his body. The graphic nature of the visual is quite unsettling. Another image captured the actor in chains, appearing bruised and tormented, with severe wounds visible across his body.

Fans of the film commended both the actor and the artist for their efforts. One fan remarked, “We did not see Vicky's skills; we saw the protector of religion, Mahavir Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.” Another commented, “Amazing work, everyone.” A third fan expressed, “Incredible work! Hats off to the makeup team. Jay Shambhuraje.”

Chhaava is a historical drama that narrates the legendary tale of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Vicky Kaushal has captivated audiences with his portrayal of this iconic figure.

The film earned ₹33.10 crores at the Indian box office on its opening day and has amassed a total of ₹121 crores to date, according to the film's producers.

In a recent interview with ANI, Vicky Kaushal acknowledged that this role was distinct from any he had previously undertaken, describing it as his "most challenging role" to date. The actor underwent extensive physical and mental preparation to authentically represent the historical character, focusing on both his appearance and his comprehension of the period.

"Portraying such a historical figure demands a significant level of discipline, which can be quite difficult. If one is not accustomed to discipline, as I was not, it becomes a formidable challenge, as this is not merely a one-month commitment; it spans one and a half to two years," Vicky stated.
