The second part of Vetrimaaran’s duology is in the post-production stages with the dubbing works having commenced with actors Soori and Vijay Sethupathi. While the film was intended to be a single film, Vetrimaaran had stated that the content of the film forced him to make into to two parts. Now as the latest buzz that the film might also have a third part.

Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai to have third part?

Soori made his lead actor debut with Vetrimaaran directorial Viduthalai. While the film was intended to be made as single instalment, the filmmaker had said that while shooting for it, he felt the necessity to tell the story in two parts. Viduthalai- Part 2 was announced, with the film scheduled to release on December 20.

Now amid this, reports surface that a third part is also in the making. The story will take a continuation if the sequel. Viduthalai 3 was planned while shooting for the sequel. With the story giving more scope for expansion, the makers have decided to make it as trilogy. An official announcement is awaited. While Soori plays the lead role, Vijay Sethupathi played a cameo in the first part. Viduthalai- Part 2 is expected to contain the backstory of Vijay Sethupathi’s character. New cast members include Manju Warrier, Kishore, Samuthirakani and others.

Viduthalai- Part 1 is available for streaming on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium. The sequel will also be available on the same the same platform after its theatrical run.
