In recent developments regarding Venkatesh's upcoming projects, industry insiders report that Surender Reddy has met with the esteemed actor to present the concept for an action-comedy film. A source close to the director has indicated that Venkatesh found the initial premise appealing and has requested a complete narration, which is anticipated to occur in the upcoming weeks. Should this project receive approval, it could signify a significant resurgence in Surender Reddy's career.

In the meantime, Venkatesh has been discerning in selecting his next project following the success of Sankranthiki Vasthunnam. Although he has reviewed several scripts from different filmmakers, he has not yet committed to a new venture. If Surender Reddy’s film is greenlit, it is expected to be produced on a grand scale by Nallamalupu Bujji.

Industry experts indicate that in light of the success of Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, Venkatesh is eager to pursue a lighthearted comedy, as the expectations for his work have significantly increased following his comedic role in the film. He is also reportedly in talks with leading production companies, including Sithara Entertainments and Mythri Movie Makers, the producers behind Pushpa.

Venkatesh is not inclined to take risks following the triumph of Sankranthiki Vasthunnam. His prior film, Saindhav, did not perform well at the box office, a setback he attributed to an unfavorable release window. Now, having made a notable return, Venkatesh is exercising caution regarding his upcoming projects, choosing roles that are suitable for his age and meet audience expectations. In Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, he played the role of a father of four who embarks on an adventure with his wife and ex-girlfriend, a character that resonated with family audiences and successfully drew them back to theaters.

Venkatesh intends to concentrate on commercial entertainers for theatrical releases while also exploring a variety of content on OTT platforms. His forthcoming web series, Rana Naidu 2, is anticipated to debut shortly. Regarding Surender Reddy’s film, Venkatesh's ultimate decision will be contingent upon the full narration, which is scheduled to occur in the near future.
