Vikram's Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 premiered in theaters on Thursday after experiencing significant delays and complications. The release date was previously moved from January to March, and on the day of its debut, the film encountered financial issues that led to the cancellation of the first-day-first-show (FDFS). Ultimately, screenings for Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 commenced as late as 5 PM on Thursday and are currently available in local cinemas.

In light of the delays, the film's director, SU Arun Kumar, issued an apology video addressing the cancellation of shows. However, this gesture did not resonate well with fans, who criticized the producers for not offering an apology for the inconveniences caused. In response, producer Shibu Thameens, representing HR Pictures, provided clarification and extended an apology through a social media post.

The release of Veera Dheera Soora: Part 2 faced significant disruptions on its opening day, as both the first and matinee screenings were canceled worldwide due to a court-issued stay on the release. This legal action was initiated by B4U Entertainment, resulting in the cancellation of shows and impacting the film's debut.

SU Arun Kumar, the writer and director of the film, released an apology video, while the producer remained silent, a fact that did not go unnoticed by many fans. In response, producer Shibu Thameens, who is associated with the film's production, shared his apology on social media.

“I apologize to #Vikram sir, #SUArunkumar, the crew, distributors, exhibitors, fans, and the entire audience for the delay in the release,” he stated. He also urged everyone to “stop the gossips,” emphasizing that the delays were not caused by any financial issues on the part of the producers.

Shibu further explained, “The holder of the OTT rights (outright sale) was unable to finalize their rights prior to the theatrical release. To protect their investment, #VDS was halted at the last moment and renegotiated. I extend my gratitude to everyone who stepped in and offered their wholehearted support, especially.”
