Varshangalkku Shesham, the period musical drama directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, hit the big screens in April 2024 as a Vishu special release. The movie, which stars Pranav Mohanlal and Dhyan Sreenivasan in the lead roles and Nivin Pauly in a cameo appearance, completed its theatrical run and is now gearing up for the OTT release on SonyLIV. Varshangalkku Shesham collected around Rs 83 crore at the worldwide box office within its lifetime run. But the multi-starrer failed to beat Fahadh Faasil-starrer Aavesham, which was released on the same day.

Varshangalkku Shesham box office final collection report

As per the recent updates, Varshangalkku Shesham has made a final worldwide box office collection of Rs. 83 crore, when it completed its lifetime run at the theatres. The Vineeth Sreenivasan directorial thus earned super hit status and the second spot in the Vishu 2024 race. According to trade experts, the Pranav Mohanlal-Dhyan Sreenivasan starrer collected over Rs. 38.70 crore from the Kerala box office alone. The movie minted around Rs. 7.70 crore from the rest of India’s box office. The overseas collection, on the other hand, stands at Rs 36.5 crore.

However, Varshangalkku Shesham failed to beat Aavesham, the Fahadh Faasil starrer directed by Jithu Madhavan, which was released on the same day. For the uninitiated, the action-comedy film collected over Rs. 155 crore within its lifetime run at the theatres. Even though both the trade experts and industry members expected Varshangalkku Shesham to emerge as the Vishu winner of 2024, Aavesham surprised everyone by emerging as the fourth blockbuster of 2024.

Varshangalkku Shesham OTT release date is out

As reported earlier, Varshangalkku Shesham is now gearing up for its grand OTT release after successfully completing the theatrical run. The Vineeth Sreenivasan directorial is slated to stream on the popular OTT platform Sony LIV, from June 7, 2024. As per the recent updates, the multi-starrer will be streaming on the platform only in Malayalam language. The audience can also watch the period musical drama online, with an OTTplay Premium subscription.
