Actor Arun Vijay’s upcoming film Vanangaan is all set to hit theatres in January 2025, for the occasion of Pongal, the makers had announced. Now, it is already known that the Ajith Kumar-starrer Good Bad Ugly is also gearing up for the release during the same time, making it a clash of Yennai Arindhaal actors. Speaking about this, Arun Vijay opened up about clashing at the box office with Ajith Kumar.

Arun Vijay on clashing with Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly

The makers of Arun Vijay’s upcoming film shared the announcement on Tuesday, November 19, on the occasion of the actor’s birthday. His upcoming film Vanangaan is all set to release on the big screens in January 2025 on the occasion of Pongal. This means that the film will be released along with Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly directed by Adhik Ravichandran.

Arun Vijay, who donated blood on his birthday, addressed the media and spoke about the upcoming clash with his Yennai Arindhal co-star Ajith Kumar. He said, “He is the pinnacle and there is no competition for him. His fans have admired me for long, and there is no competition as such. We have announced just now, and we hope we get our small opening for the film.”

Vanangaan is directed by filmmaker Bala and produced by Suresh Kamatchi. The film was initially launched with Suriya, who had to later opt out of the film.

Yennai Arindhal is an action thriller film, helmed by filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon. While Ajith plays a cop, Arun Vijay plays the antagonist. Arun is hugely recognized for his negative role and performance.

The film is available for streaming on Aha Tamil and the OTTplay Premium app. Yennai Arindhal also stars Trisha Krishnan, Anushka Shetty, Vivek, Suman, and others. The film revolves around a former cop who has to protect his stepdaughter from his nemesis.
