Malayalam films hitting theaters on February 14, 2025

Bazooka

Bazooka marks another exciting collaboration between Mammootty and Gautham Vasudev Menon, following their work on Dominic and the Ladies' Purse. This time, though, GVM is stepping in front of the camera instead of directing, joining Mammootty in what’s being described as a game thriller. It’ll be fun to see how their chemistry plays out on screen. Deeno Dennis is at the helm of this project, which also stars Babu Antony and Neeta Pillai, among others. 

Daveed

Antony Varghese Pepe steps into the boxing ring for the thrilling film Daveed, which also stars Egyptian actor Mo Ismail. Directed by Govind Vishnu, this movie packs a punch with its gripping tale of a boxer. Vijayaraghavan, who made a strong impression with his performances in Kishkindha Kaandam and Rifle Club last year, brings depth to the action-packed narrative. Lijomol Jose and Saiju Kurup also play significant roles in the film. The teaser for Daveed dropped on Wednesday, and Antony Varghese has definitely heightened the buzz around it. 

Bromance

Arjun Ashokan, who recently appeared in Ennu Swantham Punyalan that hit theaters earlier this month, is making a comeback with a new comedy called Bromance. This film features a bunch of fresh faces like Mathew Thomas, Mahima Nambiar, Shyam Mohan, and Sangeeth Prathap. The vibrant posters showcasing the main cast hint at a good time ahead. Directed by Arun D Jose, known for his work on Jo and Jo, this film looks promising!

Painkili

Not a whole lot is out there about the storyline of Painkili, directed by Sreejith Babu. But honestly, the cast alone is enough to grab your attention. Anaswara Rajan stars in the film, and she’s kicking off the New Year on a high note after her film Rekhachithram got rave reviews from both critics and audiences. The other lead is Sajin Gopu, also known as Amban from Fahadh Faasil’s Aavesham. Plus, there’s another link to Aavesham since its director, Jithu Madhavan, is stepping in as the writer for Painkili.
