
Vaazha II Begins Production: Alphonse Puthren Joins Star-Studded Cast

Vaazha - The Biopic of a Billion Boys made quite an impact when it hit theaters last year. This Malayalam film, produced by Vipin Das, the director of Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, starred social media influencers in prominent roles. After resonating well with viewers, the creators decided to move forward with a sequel.
Now, Vaazha 2 is officially in production, and it has an exciting new addition to the cast: filmmaker Alphonse Puthren. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming sequel to Vaazha.

Vaazha 2 had its official launch in Kochi on April 8, 2025. While Anand Menon directed the first film, Savin SA will take the reins for the sequel. Vipin Das, known for his work on Saiju Kurup's Antakshari, is returning as the scriptwriter for Vaazha 2. Photos from the launch event are circulating on social media, but the big news is that Alphonse Puthren, the director of Premam, is reportedly joining the cast. This has definitely increased the excitement around the movie online.
Siju Sunny, Joemon Jyothir, Saaf, Anuraj, Anshid Anu, and Amith Mohan were instrumental in the success of Vaazha. The upcoming 2024 film will also include performances from Jagadish, Kottayam Nazeer, and Azees Nedumangad.
The sequel will feature Hashir, Alan Bin Siraj, Vinayak, and Ajin Joy, with cinematography handled by Akhil Lailasuran. Details about the rest of the cast and crew are still under wraps. The sequel is supported by Vipin Das, Harris Desom, PB Anish, Adarsh Narayan, and Icon Studios.

Vaazha tracked a group of young people who have always been the quiet ones in the back of the classroom as they go through their school and college experiences.
