Actor Karthi, who was recently featured in Meiyazhagan, is set to collaborate with director Nalan Kumarasamy on a film entitled Vaa Vaathiyaar. This project is among the most anticipated films of the year, although a specific release date has yet to be confirmed. Notably, the OTT rights for Vaa Vaathiyaar have been acquired by a major streaming platform, with Prime Video scheduled to premiere the film following its theatrical release.

Vaa Vaathiyaar OTT partner locked

Vaa Vaathiyaar is an upcoming Tamil film projected to be released in theatres in 2025. Karthi will take on the lead role, while Nalan Kumarasamy, known for his works such as Soodhu Kavvum and Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum, will direct the film.

The release date for the film has not yet been disclosed; however, the digital distribution rights have already been secured. Prime Video has acquired these rights and will make the film available on its platform following its theatrical release. In addition to Karthi, the cast of Vaa Vaathiyaar includes Krithi Shetty, Rajkiran, Sathyaraj, and GM Kumar, among others. The film's technical team features Santhosh Narayanan as the music composer, with George C Williams serving as the cinematographer. Vetre Krishnan is responsible for editing, while DRK Kiran takes on the role of art director.

Vaa Vaathiyaar release date

As for the release date of Vaa Vaathiyaar, the producers have yet to provide this information. Nevertheless, promotional activities have commenced, with the first single, Uyir Pathikaama, scheduled for release on Friday. The film is anticipated to premiere sometime during the summer.

This upcoming project is produced by KE Gnanavelraja under the Studio Green banner. Vaa Vaathiyaar marks Nalan's return to the big screen after a nine-year absence, with his last theatrical release being the 2016 film Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum, and he directed a segment in the Tamil anthology film Kutty Story in 2020.
