VD12 release date out; Vijay Deverakonda’s film to gets its official title soon

Vijay Deverakonda is set to bounce back after a prolonged low phase in his career, with some promising projects. The actor is teaming up with Jersey fame director Gowtam Tinnanuri, for his 14th outing in Telugu cinema. The project, which is tentatively titled VD12, has been under production for quite some time now. The makers announced the highly anticipated VD12 release date today, along with a special poster of the film. The untitled project is slated to hit the big screens in March 2025.

Vijay Deverakonda’s VD12 gets a release date

Recently, leading man Vijay Deverakonda, director Gowtam Tinnanuri, and the VD12 team took to their social media handles and announced the release date of the film. “His Destiny awaits him. Mistakes. Bloodshed. Questions. Rebirth. 28 March, 2025. #VD12,” wrote the popular actor, who also shared a new poster of the untitled film featuring himself, on social media. Vijay Deverakonda is seen in his signature angry young man avatar in the poster, which promises that VD12 is going to be an intense, emotional action film.

VD12 title to be revealed soon

Along with the new poster, the makers of Vijay Deverakonda and Gowtam Tinnanuri’s film have also dropped a major announcement on the film’s official title release. “Destiny calls, Bloodshed awaits, A new king shall rise. #VD12 in Cinemas Worldwide from 28th March 2025! Title Announcement This August!” reads the official social media post of Sithara Entertainments, the banner that bankrolls VD12. If the reports are to be believed, the highly anticipated official title of the film will be revealed during the Independence Day weekend.

The makers have not officially revealed the female lead and rest of the star cast of the highly anticipated project, yet. However, the rumour mills suggest that Bhagyashri Borse, the Mr. Bachchan fame actress is playing the female lead opposite Vijay Deverakonda in the film, after Sreeleela reportedly walked out. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the songs and original score for VD12. The project is bankrolled by the prestigious banner, Sithara Entertainments.
