We had earlier reported that an upcoming Tamil film titled Mr X is in the making. Featuring actors Arya and Gautham Karthik in the lead roles, the makers recently an update about the film. The team has completed shooting for Mr X.

Mr X shooting wrapped up

The shooting for Mr X has been wrapped up, the makers announced on social media on Sunday. Actors Gautham Karthik and Arya play the lead roles in the film, marking their first onscreen collaboration. Mr X is directed by Manu Arvind who earlier helmed Vishnu Vishal-starrer FIR.

The film is backed by the Prince Pictures banner. Apart from Gautham Karthik and Arya, the film also stars a slew of known faces, including actors Sarath Kumar, Manju Warrier, and Anagha in vital roles. However, the details of their roles are kept under wraps. A release date for Mr X is yet to be announced.

Mr X has Divyanka Anand Shankar and Raam H Puthran penning the screenplay along with Manu. Touted to be an action drama, the film will revolve around two characters with the same goal, as per reports. With Tanveer Mir serving as the cinematographer, the music for Mr X is scored by Dhibu Ninan Thomas. Prasanna GK is the editor.

What is Gautham Karthik’s next?

Gautham Karthik is part of the upcoming Tamil film Thug Life. The film stars Kamal Haasan in the lead role, and is directed by veteran and celebrated filmmaker Mani Ratnam. Thug Life will feature a star ensemble, including actors Silambarasan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George, Abirami, Nasser, and others. A release date for the film is yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Arya was last seen in Tamil in Kathar Basha Endra Muthuramalingam, a rural action drama written and directed by filmmaker M Muthaiah. The film is available for streaming on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium. The actor is also part of the upcoming sequel Sarpatta Parambarai, helmed by Pa Ranjith.
