Kiccha Sudeep's Max has successfully broken the stagnation for Kannada cinema on OTT platforms; however, there is currently a lack of anticipated new releases. Since the beginning of 2025, several films have been released in theatres, yet only a few have demonstrated potential. The box office performance for Kannada cinema has been lacklustre this year, a situation that appears poised to persist, given that 8 to 10 films are being released weekly, many of which enter theatres without any promotional efforts and receive minimal screenings.
Here's a look at the Kannada films that are likely to drop on OTT in March 2025

UI
Real Star Upendra's film UI was the first to be announced for a television premiere by Zee Kannada, although a specific date was not provided. However, Kiccha Sudeep's Max managed to surpass this announcement by offering a simultaneous release on both television and OTT platforms. In a recent conversation with Velu from Lahari Films, it was confirmed that the OTT rights for UI had not yet been sold and that discussions were ongoing.

The horror comedy directed by Sharan has reportedly achieved moderate success at the box office, and there is growing anticipation regarding the streaming release of the film by Karva director Navaneeth. Royal
Dinakar Thoogudeepa’s most recent directorial venture, featuring Kiss actor Viraat in the lead role, premiered in theatres on January 24 but did not perform well commercially. Rudra Garuda Purana
In his latest Kannada film, actor Rishi takes on the role of a police officer investigating the mysterious disappearance of an MLA’s son. How, then, has the bus resurfaced?
