In recent months, the Malayalam film industry has been abuzz with discussions surrounding a particular film—Marco. This stylized action drama, featuring a blind protagonist portrayed by Unni Mukundan, has captured significant attention. While it has achieved impressive box office success, it has also encountered its fair share of critiques.

To date, Marco has been accessible for streaming on Sony LIV in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada. However, there had been no information regarding the release of the Hindi-dubbed version—until now. The anticipation has concluded, as Marco is now available for streaming in Hindi.

Marco (Hindi) Now on Amazon Prime Video

Marco narrates the tale of Victor, a man who is visually impaired and meets his demise at the hands of a business tycoon’s son. This incident triggers a series of violent repercussions within a formidable gold empire, as Victor’s formidable brother, Marco, seeks vengeance. Unbeknownst to him, his genuine adversaries are much nearer than he suspects, complicating his pursuit of justice—particularly as his family becomes entangled in the ensuing turmoil.

The Hindi-dubbed version of the film has now been officially released. You can view Marco, featuring Unni Mukundan, in Hindi on Amazon Prime Video. Indeed, the film is accessible with a standard Prime subscription. If you prefer to watch Marco in Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, or Tamil, it is available for streaming on Sony LIV with your OTTplay Premium subscription. The film has a total runtime of 142 minutes (2 hours and 22 minutes).

Unni Mukundan Defends Marco

Following its release, Marco encountered significant backlash regarding its representation of violence. Nevertheless, in a recent discussion with The Times of India (TOI), Unni Mukundan came to the film's defense, asserting: “Marco does not even depict ten percent of the violence that exists in our society. We have attained peace through conflict, as survival has consistently been our foremost instinct. While I am not endorsing the depiction of violence in cinema, the fact remains that violence is an inescapable aspect of our reality.”

In the same interview, Mukundan articulated his ambitions to create expansive Malayalam films that rival KGF and Baahubali. He remarked, “Our cinema is often regarded as ‘good and neat,’ which places a significant burden on individuals like myself. I am uncertain whether I can consistently attain the ‘good cinema’ label with each project. It is important that filmmakers do not feel compelled to produce only ‘benchmark movies.’ I do not perceive this pressure within Telugu, Hindi, or Tamil cinema.”
