Unni Mukundan's recent portrayal in Marco has garnered significant attention in Malayalam cinema. Following the intense action film, Mukundan is poised to introduce a comedic element to the big screen with the release of Get Set Baby in February 2025. Get Set Baby, featuring Unni Mukundan and Nikhila Vimal in prominent roles, is set to hit theatres on February 21. In a recent social media announcement, Mukundan expressed his excitement, stating, "Hey Babies, GetSet for Feb 21st! Delivering laughter in theatres worldwide!! #GetSetBaby A Complete Family Movie!!"

Get Set Baby plot and cast

Unni Mukundan plays the principal role of an IVF specialist in the film, which explores the various obstacles he encounters and his methods of overcoming them. 

This comedy-drama also features Nikhila Vimal as the female lead. Shyam Mohan, known for his work in Naslen-Mamitha Baiju’s Premalu, is included in the cast. Chemban Vinod plays a significant role, alongside Johny Antony and Meera Vasudevan. 

The screenplay for this light-hearted film has been crafted by Anoop Ravindran and YV Rajesh, with music composed by Sam CS. The cinematography is managed by Alex J Pulikal.

The filming of Get Set Baby concluded in March 2024, with Unni Mukundan announcing the completion on his social media platforms. 

Since that time, there has been no official information regarding the film's release. However, the producers have now confirmed that the film is scheduled for release in February 2025. 

Unni Mukundan’s Marco

Unni Mukundan was last featured in Marco, which premiered in theatres on December 20, 2024. This action-oriented film, noted for its intense violence, has been described as the most brutal film in the Malayalam film industry. There have been ongoing discussions on social media regarding Marco’s potential release on OTT platforms, but the producers have not yet provided any confirmation. 

In contrast, Nikhila Vimal’s film Oru Jaathi Jathakam, featuring Vineeth Sreenivasan, is set to be released in theatres on January 31, 2025.
