On June 21, the much-anticipated Malayalam film Ullozhukku is scheduled to premiere on big screens. The project had generated a lot of buzz among movie buffs ever since it was announced and its posters and trailer were released. A day before its release, the producers hosted a celebrity preview in Kochi.

Celebrities in high praise for the performances

Every actor who saw the movie at the special preview in Kochi noted that Ullozhukku's performances are what really make the film stand out. “Absolutely loved watching Ullozhukku! With stellar performances from Urvashi and Parvathy,” said Supriya Menon, wife of Prithviraj Sukumaran and co-founder of Prithviraj Productions.

According to Vinay Forrt, Urvashi continues to demonstrate that no one in the industry can act better than her. He continued by saying that he had previously heard the script and that the filmmaker had effectively conveyed the subject through the movie. The majority of attendees described the movie as a compelling story that is enriched by excellent acting.

In the meantime, Divya Prabha revealed that the film's riveting story caused her to cry a lot while she watched it. The preview event was also attended by Joju George, Nikhila Vimal and Kani Kusurthi among others. Urvashi’s daughter Tejalakshmi Jayan and Parvathy Thiruvothu had also watched the movie during the event.

Ullozhukku to release on June 21

Urvashi and Parvathy Thiruvothu play the main roles in this Christo Tomy-directed movie. Arjun Radhakrishnan, Veena Nair, Shebin Benson and Alencier Ley Lopez are also playing important roles in this project.

The poignant drama, Ullozhukkku, or Undercurrent, is about deceits in a dysfunctional family and how they affect relationships and trust. It tells the story of a family in Kuttanad that had to wait for the monsoon to pass before burying a loved one because the floodwaters had to recede. But while they wait, several secrets and lies are revealed, raising questions about the fundamentals of the family.
