The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film, Ullozhukku, released its first glimpse today (June 1). They had announced that the movie will hit the big screen on June 21, along with the first look poster, yesterday (May 31). It has also been revealed that a teaser will be unveiled on June 3.

In the glimpse, Parvathy Thiruvothu and Prashanth Murali portray a newlywed couple sitting on a boat. Nevertheless, the couple appears not to be enthusiastic about the big day and acts awkwardly around one another when they are taking pictures.

Urvashi and Parvathy Thiruvothu play the main roles in this Christo Tomy-directed movie. Netflix currently streams his previous work, Curry and Cyanide: The Jolly Joseph Case, a true crime programme. A teaser and more information about the movie are anticipated in the days leading up to its premiere.

Ullozhukku’s first poster

The film's poster, which features the two lead female actors' characters stuck in knee-deep water, alludes to a flood that has affected the area. However, the tagline "Lies will drown...Secrets will surface" suggests a gripping narrative with some tense situations.

According to the director's website, Ullozhukkku, or Undercurrent, is a psychological drama about lies and falsehoods in a family and how they affect relationships. It tells the story of a family in Kuttanad, Kerala, that had to wait for the monsoon to pass before burying a loved one because the floodwaters had to recede. But while they wait, several secrets and lies are revealed, raising questions about the fundamentals of the family.

Cast of Ullozhukku

Arjun Radhakrishnan, Veena Nair, Shebin Benson, and Alencier Ley Lopez will also play important roles in this project. Previous reports state that Parvathy was so impressed by the intense and challenging nature of Ullozhukku's script that she decided to work on the project. The public has high expectations for the film because it stars Parvathy and Urvashi, two of the country's most popular performers, in the lead roles.
