The upcoming Malayalam films, Adios Amigo and Level Cross, have confirmed that their theatrical release has been postponed. They are still concealing the causes of this delay, however. Although the release date of Adios Amigo has been set for August 15, Level Cross's makers have not yet provided a release date.

Unavailability of screens leads to delay in releases

Even though the producers have not provided a clear reason for the delay, it is logical to assume that the lack of screens is the reason for the postponement. A few of the June theatrical releases are receiving favourable reviews from audiences, while some of the May releases are still showing in theatres successfully.

Even though fewer theatres were showing films like Gaganachari and Ullozhukku, which debuted on June 21, the number of screens exhibiting these movies was increased during the second week of release as a result of the positive response from the public. The release of several other films has also been delayed because there lack sufficient theatre screens. One reason for the dearth of screens in the state is the massive theatrical premiere of Kalki 2898 AD on June 27.

All about Level Cross and Adios Amigo

The movie poster for Level Cross suggests that the story takes place in a desert. A level cross and a train are featured, and Asif Ali makes a powerful appearance in an avatar with discoloured teeth. Asif's devious smile in the poster suggests that he is playing a bad part. The first look poster for the film, featuring the three main characters, was released to the public in December of last year.

The posters for Adios Amigo gave the impression that the story was set in Thiruvananthapuram. It also included Asif Ali wearing a costume that he had never worn in his working career. Despite having an injury and the doctor's orders to stay in bed, the actor continued shooting the film.
