On day 2 Box Office, according to a report on Pinkvilla, Tumbbad minted Rs. 2.20 crores. The film earned 45% more than what it did on its opening day Friday.

A grand opening for Tumbbad re-release

Given that Tumbbad was made on a budget of Rs. 15 crores, the movie has already earned more than 1/5th of it back. Earning Rs. 1.50 crores on day 1, the film now has a total of Rs. 3.70 crores within two days of its release.

Tumbbad to mint quarter of its budget on first weekend itself?

As per early reports, the Rahi Anil Barve directorial is likely to mint Rs. 5 crores over the weekend. This would mean that Tumbbad would earn 1/3rd of its budget in the first three days of its re-release itself. When the film was originally released in 2018, it minted Rs. 12 crores and thus, it was declared a flop at the Box Office. However, after gathering a cult through its online presence and with the re-release, the movie is finally a hit and aiming at becoming more successful during the theatrical run.

Tumbbad 2 is also announced with the theatrical release, leaving fans of the movie excited for what is to come. Meanwhile, the movie continues to give tough competition to Kareena Kapoor Khan's latest offering, The Buckingham Murders and even continues to beat the movie at the Box Office by a margin.
