Tumbbad re-release Box Office collection day 10: Sohum Shah's film earns more than 50 percent of its original run in second weekend

Sohum Shah's Tumbbad shows no signs of slowing down. Even over the second weekend, the movie has earned more than 50% of its original run. The film continues to shine at the Box Office on its re-release, and by the end of this week, it could end up as a superhit. More so, Tumbbad has earned better in the second week than it did in the first. Here's the Box Office collection of Tumbbad so far...
Tumbbad Box Office collection day 10
On day 10, Tumbbad earned Rs. 2.50 crores. This was a slight drop from day 8 Friday (which is when Tumbbad scored high owing to ticket prices being slashed to Rs. 99 per person to celebrate National Cinema Day).
Tumbbad second weekend is better than the first
Over the second weekend, Tumbbad earned Rs. 2.75 crores on second Friday, Rs. 2.35 crores on the second Saturday and Rs. 2.50 crores on second Sunday, according to Sacnilk. This takes the total of the film over the second weekend to over Rs. 7.50 crores. Thus, Tumbbad earned better over the second weekend than it did on the first weekend (where it earned Rs. 7.25 crores).
Tumbbad has earned more than 50% of its original run by day 10
In the first week, Tumbbad minted Rs. 13.15 crores. The movie was closer to its original run back then. After its second weekend, the movie, helmed by Anil Rahi Barve, has minted Rs. 20.75 crores. This is 50% more than the original run of Tumbbad. When the film released back in 2018, it had minted Rs. 13.50 in its lifetime. With the current trend at the Box Office, Tumbbad is already re-writing history for itself and all the re-releases in theatres.
Tumbbad 2 announced with Tumbbad re-release
Tumbbad re-release had another surprise. Tumbbad sequel, Tumbbad 2, was announced with the release of the film.
