As Ajith Kumar's Good Bad Ugly gets ready to hit theaters on April 10, other Tamil film releases are taking a backseat. Dhanush's Idly Kadai, which was set to debut on the same day, has pushed back its release. With no significant OTT or theatrical films coming out, aside from Test, April will depend entirely on this star-studded movie for entertainment. Check out the OTT releases for this week!
New Tamil OTT releases (March 31 - April 6)
Test – Netflix (April 4)

Test is an upcoming Tamil movie featuring Madhavan, Nayanthara, and Siddharth in the main roles. This film marks the directorial debut of S Sashikanth, who also wrote the script. It's an emotional drama that incorporates a cricket theme. Notably, singer Shakthishree Gopalan will be stepping into the role of composer for the first time with Test. Meera Jasmine has a significant part in the film, reuniting with Madhavan after their previous projects, Run and Ayutha Ezhuthu. Additionally, Siddharth and Madhavan have previously worked together in Ayutha Ezhuthu and Rang De Basanthi.
Office – JioHotstar (in progress)The comedy series is produced by Jegannath and helmed by director Kabeez. It boasts a mix of both up-and-coming and well-known actors, many of whom have previously appeared in the Heart Beat web series. The lineup features Guru Lakshman, Sabarish, Smeha, Keerthivel, Kemy, Paranthaman, Thamizvani, Sarithiran, Shiva Aravind, Prankster Raghu, and TSR. The storyline will focus on the everyday happenings in a lively Tahsildar’s office situated in a small village.
Madurai Boy and Chennai Girl – Aha Tamil (currently airing)

Madurai Paiyanum Chennai Ponnum is a currently airing web series featuring Kanna Ravi and Angelin in the main roles. This show beautifully mixes humor, heartfelt moments, and elements of Tamil culture. Taking place in the lively setting of Tamil Nadu, it tells a touching love story that delves into the cultural and personal contrasts between a boy from Madurai and a girl from Chennai. The series, which falls under the romantic comedy-drama genre, is directed by Vignesh Pazhanivel.
