Tollywood's Meeting with Telangana CM Concludes: No Relief for Game Changer Amid Tensions
14 hours ago | 5 Views
Game Changer is one of the most awaited movies, set to hit theaters on January 10, 2025, as a special treat for Sankranthi. The promotional activities are in full swing, and the team is doing everything they can to keep the film in the limelight. Earlier today, the whole Telugu film industry gathered with Telangana CM Revanth Reddy in Hyderabad to talk about the industry's future.
They covered some important topics during the meeting, but it seems Allu Arjun wasn't part of the discussion. Instead, it looks like Allu Aravind will have a separate meeting with the CM. Notably, ace producer Dil Raju was there too, and as the president of the Telangana Film Chamber, he plays a key role in connecting the film industry with the Telangana government.
After the meeting, Dil Raju was asked about the increase in ticket prices for upcoming big-budget films. He made it clear that this wasn't the main focus of their discussion. Still, insiders close to the producer mentioned that the Chief Minister indicated there wouldn't be any special screenings or price hikes for tickets in the state going forward. Even so, Dil Raju is hopeful that these rules might change down the line.
This decision has major consequences for Game Changer, which is the first big release affected by the government's new position. Since Dil Raju has put a lot of money into the film, he would have liked the chance to sell tickets at a higher rate. However, the Telangana government has tightened its regulations after the Sandhya Theater stampede, making it less likely for such changes to happen.
There were also talks about turning Hyderabad into a hotspot for Hollywood film production and making some adjustments to how stars visit theaters. CM Revanth Reddy encouraged the industry to think big and work on boosting Hyderabad's standing in the global filmmaking scene.
As for now, Game Changer will hit theaters with standard ticket prices, just like any other Telugu movie. Fans were wishing for special screenings, but that doesn’t look promising with the current rules. We'll have to wait and see if these policies change soon. Keep an eye out for more news!
