The screenplay is written by Eric Pearson (Thor: Ragnarok, Black Widow), Lee Sung Jin (Beef), and Joanna Calo (The Bear). The film is slated to hit theaters on May 2, 2025. This raises speculation about the possibility of a Black Widow cameo in Thunderbolts, especially if the Multiverse is involved. However, fans should temper their expectations. Thunderbolts has been in development for some time. It was initially announced in 2022 and was scheduled for release in 2023, but delays have pushed the film to its current May 2025 release date.
