The Indian fans of Suits are having a blast this week with the show's return in a fresh format. JioCinema just dropped the news that all nine seasons are now available in Hindi, making it easier for non-English speakers to enjoy. So, as we gear up for another binge-watch (for many of us, it's a repeat), let’s kick things off with some fun trivia about this beloved series that ran for nine seasons. Suits is packed with interesting facts and hidden gems. One standout character is Jessica Pearson, portrayed by Gina Torres. While we all know the role was originally meant for a guy and later switched to a woman, did you realize the creators had plans to write Jessica out of the show halfway through?
Jessica Pearson would have met her end in Suits?
You got that right! Gina Torres, who portrayed Jessica Pearson, was on Suits until Season 6. She decided to leave after that season when her contract was up because she needed to focus on her personal life. Her family, including her then-husband Laurence Fishburne, was based in Los Angeles, while Suits was filmed in Toronto, even though it was set in New York.
After Gina's departure, TV writer and showrunner Aaron Korsh had a plan to write off her character. He intended for Jessica to relocate to Chicago with her boyfriend Jeff Malone (played by D.B. Woodside), but then have her character meet a tragic end at the hands of Larry Marsden (played by Colin Glazer).
Korsh shared with The Hollywood Reporter that he initially thought viewers would only hear about the event rather than witness it. “It was meant to be a huge shock for everyone, followed by a two-year time jump. I figured that would be an unexpected twist. Sure, you might have guessed Jessica would leave, but not that she would die too.” Fortunately for fans, the network decided against that storyline, allowing for Gina Torres to make occasional appearances instead.
Patrick J. Adams mentioned to Esquire, “I really don’t think anyone should die on Suits. The show is fundamentally about aspiration, and it would be tough to see the characters deal with such heavy issues.”
Suits Now Offered in Hindi
JioCinema is excited to announce that all nine seasons of Suits are now available in Hindi for the first time in India! This globally loved series, known for its clever storytelling, memorable characters, and gripping courtroom drama, is streaming exclusively on Peacock Hub through JioCinema Premium. They even dropped a promo featuring the catchy track Millionaire by Yo Yo Honey Singh, which perfectly captures the show's ambition and drama.
The series centers around Mike Ross, a guy who may not have the qualifications but knows how to navigate the corporate world with his smarts and clever tactics. He aims to land a job as an associate with the top closer in Manhattan, Harvey Specter. But Mike's journey is filled with unexpected twists and challenges that keep him on his toes.
The amazing cast of Suits includes Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel Macht, Meghan Markle, Sarah Rafferty, and Rick Hoffman, who all bring the drama, humor, and intensity that have made this show a worldwide hit.
