Murali Gopy has revealed the details of his upcoming Malayalam film. This untitled movie, which will be simultaneously released in Tamil and Malayalam, stars Arya in the lead role. The photos of the movie’s puja ceremony, which was held in Mangalanathaswamy Shiva Temple at Ramanathapuram in Tamil Nadu, were shared by the makers today (August 7) on social media platforms.
Murali Gopy will play a crucial role in this film, which also stars Santhi Balakrishnan, Nikhila Vimal, Saritha Kuku, Indrans, Renji Panicker, and Siddique in supporting roles. The film, which is being directed by Jiyen Krishnakumar, is anticipated to feature actors from various south Indian industries. This is the second film in which Jiyen and Murali have worked together after Tiyaan, which is streaming on Sun NXT. In the upcoming days, more information about the cast and movie are anticipated.
Murali Gopy’s recent films
Kanakarajyam, the actor and director's most recent film, was partially based on actual events. The film examined the life of a retired army officer who inadvertently became involved in the robbery case pertaining to the jewellery store where he worked. It did not receive a positive reception when it was released in theatres. Meanwhile, Murali Gopy played a jobless man trying to obtain a bank loan for a business venture.
Murali Gopy also played a pivotal role in 2022 film, Kochaal, which is streaming on ZEE5. He is currently working on the much-awaited Malayalam project, L2: Empuraan, under the direction of Prithviraj Sukumaran.
Arya’s Malayalam project after a hiatus
Arya has not worked on a Malayalam project in a long time. In the past, he played a police officer in The Great Father in 2017 and had a brief appearance in Pathinettam Padi in 2019. You can watch Pathinettam Padi on Amazon Prime Video. The film also features Mammootty, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Chandunadh, Ahaana Krishna, Akshay Radhakrishnan, and Arsha Baiju. Mammootty played the lead in the Sun NXT streaming film, The Great Father.
