Director Courtney Hunt’s experience in making The Whole Truth

Back in 2016, director Courtney Hunt had an exclusive chat with Decider portal, where she shared a lot of information with the fans. For the unversed, Courtney Hunt is famous for the movie–Frozen River (2008), which won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for two Academy Awards.

Courtney told Decider that she is actually a lawyer and has graduated from law school, and her husband practises criminal defense, so it helped her a lot to make a movie like The Whole Truth. Even she and her husband used to have discussions on the movie during the making. According to Hunt, “It’s actually the reason I was interested in this project to begin with, because I feel like the morality and legality conundrum that a lawyer representing a criminal defendant has to deal with is really interesting.”
