Jio Studios is all set to stream its highly anticipated film The Storyteller on Disney+ Hotstar, premiering on January 28. The trailer introduces Paresh Rawal as a gifted storyteller who chooses to share his stories orally rather than writing them down. Adil Hussain plays a businessman struggling with insomnia, who hires Rawal’s character to narrate stories to him, hoping to find peace and sleep. However, the arrangement soon takes a dark turn as Adil’s character begins passing off Paresh's captivating stories as his own, gaining tremendous success. This betrayal sets the stage for a deeply emotional journey of self-discovery and redemption, as Paresh grapples with the shock of having his creativity stolen.

Directed by Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, The Storyteller explores the complexities of creative ownership, identity, and the consequences of exploitation.
