The trailer for The Storyteller really tugs at the heartstrings

The Storyteller is set to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar, and the creators just dropped the trailer on their social media. It features Paresh Rawal as Tarini Bandyopadhyay, a passionate storyteller who refuses to write down his tales. He crosses paths with Adil Hussain, a wealthy businessman plagued by insomnia, who hires Tarini to share stories with him to help him sleep.

The trailer, set in Kolkata, showcases iconic spots like Kumortuli and Howrah Bridge, capturing the enchanting essence of Ray's work. We see Tarini narrating stories to the businessman, who is clearly impressed. But when Adil finds out that Tarini won’t put his stories on paper, he decides to publish them as his own, leading to massive success. This betrayal hits Paresh hard, prompting him to embark on a journey of self-discovery and ultimately fight for the rightful ownership of his stories.

The trailer not only showcases the storyline but also features the iconic song, Aha Ki Ananda, by Anup Ghoshal. This track comes from the blockbuster film, Hirak Rajar Deshe, directed by the legendary Satyajit Ray. Its charming melody will definitely remind you of Ray's enchanting magic all over again.
