Actor Sarath Kumar's 150th film, The Smile Man, a gripping crime thriller released in December 2024, has now premiered on streaming platforms. You can watch The Smile Man on Aha Tamil and the OTTplay Premium app, available for download on the App Store and Google Play Store.

The Smile Man stars veteran actor Sarath Kumar as a police officer battling Alzheimer’s. Despite his fading memories and being given only a year before he forgets everything, he takes on the challenge of solving a serial killer case, where the victims are left with a scarred smiling face.

Directed by the Syam-Praveen duo, the film features an ensemble cast including Sri Kumar, Sijaa Rose, Ineya, George Maryan, Rajkumar, Kalaiyarasan, Kumar Natarajan, and Baby Azhiya. The technical crew includes music by Gavaskar Avinash, a story penned by Kamala Alchemis, cinematography by Vikram Mohan, and editing by San Lokesh.

The Smile Man review and rating

The Smile Man received mixed reviews upon its release. In its review, OTTplay remarked, “The Smile Man is yet another addition to the growing list of serial killer stories made as part of a trend. With incoherent storytelling and detached emotions, the film fails to resonate or captivate the audience.”

The Smile Man is the newest addition to Aha Tamil's growing catalogue, as the platform continues to secure streaming rights for Tamil films. Other recent titles available on the platform include Family Padam, Soodhu Kavvum 2, and Once Upon A Time in Madras.
