A source close to the project has informed us that the team is now aiming for a release during Sankranthi 2026.

This change comes as the latter half of 2025 is packed with other major releases like Vishwambhara, Mirai, Akhanda 2, and more. The production company behind the film, People Media Factory, is facing some financial difficulties, which is also a significant factor contributing to the delay.

Prabhas also injured his leg while filming his other movie, Fauji, which has pushed back the completion of The Raja Saab. This film is being marketed as a horror comedy, marking Prabhas's debut in this genre. Reports suggest he will play a double role, including that of an elderly man. The first look was released a few months back and quickly went viral.

In contrast, Maruthi, the director famous for releasing at least two films annually, has been tied up with The Raja Saab for over a year. Thaman, who created the film's music, has begun reworking the score due to the ongoing delays, and we mentioned this update on OTTplay just a few days ago.
