As reported by Comicbook, Matt Reeves expressed, "I would love to do more [spinoff series], but the thing we’re really focused on is The Batman 2." He further remarked, "We’re discussing the possibility of a second season of The Penguin, but my main priority is to initiate the shooting of The Batman 2. Following that, it will be thrilling to explore our future directions."

Reeves has announced that production for The Batman 2 will commence shortly, with Robert Pattinson reprising his role as Bruce Wayne. He stated, “Our plan, and our hope, is absolutely to do another season [of The Penguin]. We just have to come up with an idea that we think is the right one, and that’s what we’re working on.”

Although Reeves admitted that the development of The Batman 2 is “taking longer than I would have wanted,” he conveyed his enthusiasm: “I’m super excited about what we’re doing, so I really can’t wait to share that with everybody.” This suggests that the second season of The Penguin will be released only after The Batman 2 premieres in theatres, which is set for October 1, 2027.
