  • Isabela Merced plays Dina, while Kaitlyn Dever takes on the role of Abby.
  • Young Mazino portrays Jesse, and Tati Gabrielle is cast as Nora.

  • Craig Mazin Discusses What's Next for The Last of Us

The Last of Us draws inspiration from the two games created by Naughty Dog, and there have been talks about broadening the universe with spinoffs and prequels. However, co-creator Craig Mazin has stated that he doesn't intend to go beyond adapting the second game.

In an interview with Variety, Mazin expressed, “As a fan of The Last of Us, I would be thrilled if Neil has more games. But for me, as a writer and showrunner, this is my Last of Us. So this will be the end of my journey with it, focusing on the events from the first and second games. There’s always a possibility for more content, similar to how House of the Dragon succeeded after Game of Thrones. I could see myself being consulted for advice, but it won’t be my project—someone else will take that on.”

It's pretty cool that the creators have already announced Season 3 of The Last of Us, even before Season 2 has been released.
