The Greatest Of All Time, the highly anticipated action thriller that stars Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role, is one of the most-awaited projects of the Tamil film industry in 2024. The movie, which marks Vijay’s first onscreen collaboration with director Venkat Prabhu, has created quite a stir on social media with its promotional posters, videos, and songs. Even though The GOAT was expected to have a grand audio launch event, the recent updates suggest that the team has no such plans.

Thalapathy Vijay’s The GOAT will not have an audio launch

Recently in an interview, director Venkat Prabhu revealed that the possibility of an audio launch event solely depends on leading man Thalapathy Vijay’s decision. However, the recent updates suggest that The Greatest Of All Time will not have an audio launch event or any such massive pre-release event. The new update has left the Vijay fans and Tamil cinema audiences, who were eagerly waiting for the Tamil superstar’s iconic speech at the event, highly disappointed. However, the makers of The GOAT have not reacted to these reports yet.

If the reports are to be believed, the negative reactions to The GOAT songs, especially the first single Whistle Podu, and the recently released Spark song, have left the team disheartened. This is also a major reason behind the decision to not have a grand audio launch event for the film. Director Venkat Prabhu and Yuvan Shankar Raja, who are real-life cousins, are also going through a tough time after the demise of the latter’s sister, singer Bhavatharini. This is also a reason why The GOAT team is reluctant to have any grand event.

Vijay’s double role in The GOAT

The official posters and the special glimpse released on Thalapathy Vijay’s birthday confirmed that the actor is playing a double role in The Greatest Of All Time. If the reports are to be believed, the popular star is appearing as a 50-year-old scientist and his look-alike clone in the film, which is touted as a sci-fi action thriller. The GOAT trailer, which is expected to be revealed during the Independence Day 2024 weekend, will reveal more details about the actor's roles in the film.
