The GOAT on Netflix: Netizens troll Thalapathy Vijay’s film

As expected, a big group of netizens, including Thalapathy Vijay’s fans are unhappy with The Greatest Of All Time. The cinephiles are now busy trolling the film, especially for its illogical scenes that just don’t make sense. While some of the audience are busy defending the film stating that it is not a ‘bad film’, others suggest that it is a disappointing outing in every aspect. The Vijay fans are upset that the actor’s second last film before his indefinite break from films, ended up as a missed opportunity.

Mike Mohan’s role in The GOAT disappoints cinephiles

Not just the illogical sequences and flawed writing, but the charectization of the lead antagonist, played by senior actor ‘Mike’ Mohan, left the netizens highly disappointed. The cinephiles feel that the Thalapathy Vijay starrer suffered from the lack of a strong antagonist. Some fans even pointed out that the Venkat Prabhu directorial treats the character Menon, played by Mohan so carelessly, to the point where the character started sounding like just another comedian.

The fans, however, are happy with leading man Thalapathy Vijay’s performance as Gandhi and his son Jeevan, in The Greatest Of All Time. The netizens are also expressing their disappointment over Vijay’s decision to take an indefinite break from films at this phase, where the crowd-puller has finally started exploring his possibilities as an actor. But, they believe that director Venkat Prabhu still hasn’t fully succeeded in using the leading  man’s potential, and state that The GOAT is a wasted opportunity.
