Today, Crunchyroll announced the release dates for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle in India and globally. In India, the first part of this epic trilogy from the renowned animation studio ufotable will hit theaters on September 12, 2025, in IMAX and other premium formats. The film will be available with English and Hindi subtitles, as well as in Japanese with English subtitles.

Premise of Demon Slayer

A demon takes out Tanjiro Kamado's family right at the start of the story. To bring his sister Nezuko back to her human self after she turns into a demon, he joins the Demon Slayer Corps. With its touching tale of humans and demons, thrilling sword fights, endearing characters, and funny scenes, the series has captured the hearts of fans worldwide.

The three-part movie wraps up the hugely popular and well-received anime shonen series. Aside from a few Asian regions like Japan, Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment will handle the global distribution of the film.

Tanjiro's adventure up to this point

After his sister Nezuko turned into a demon, Tanjiro Kamado joined the Demon Slayer Corps, a group dedicated to hunting down demons. Teaming up with his friends Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira, Tanjiro has faced many challenges and has become stronger as part of the corps. During his journey, he has met the Hashira, the top-ranked swordsmen in the Demon Slayer Corps. This includes Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku on the Mugen Train, Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui in the Entertainment District, Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito, and Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji in the Swordsmith Village.

While the Demon Slayer Corps and the Hashira were gearing up for their upcoming battle against the demons with a training program called Hashira Training, Muzan Kibutsuji appeared at the Ubuyashiki Mansion. Concerned for their commander, Tanjiro and the Hashira rushed to the headquarters, only to be unexpectedly transported into a dark and mysterious dimension by Muzan Kibutsuji.

Ultimate battle at Infinity Castle

The demons' fortress, Infinity Castle, has become the battleground for Tanjiro and the Demon Slayer Corps. It's all set for the ultimate showdown between the demons and the Demon Slayer Corps.
