The Diplomat featuring John Abraham and Sadia Khateeb is inspired by real events. The movie centers on an Indian diplomat, J. P. Singh (Abraham), who is assigned the mission to retrieve an Indian woman, Uzma Ahmed (Khatib), from Pakistan, where she was reportedly deceived into a coerced marriage. It emphasizes JP Singh's pursuit to return Uzma to India, and throughout this journey, he encounters intricate diplomatic hurdles and the threats caused by the circumstances.

The movie also includes Kumud Mishra, Revathy, Ashwath Bhatt, Sharib Hashmi, and Jagjeet Sandhu in significant roles.
