As per a Comic Book Movie report, James Gunn, addressing the rumors that The Batman 2 is being scrapped, said, "Like why would you even believe a rando on social networking? Of course not. If it was canceled, it would be canceled. Who has time for charades? I’ve been one of Matt’s biggest cheerleaders for years - since Cloverfield and the Apes movies. We are eagerly awaiting his script."

This comes after James Gunn recently confirmed that there is no timeline set for anything right now, and this was in reference to Batman’s debut in the DCU with The Brave And The Bold. However, this is good news for fans of Matt Reeves’ The Batman Epic Crime Saga, who have been waiting for the movie for the past two years now.

Cristin Milioti’s Sofia In The Batman 2

As per Scooper My Time To Shine Hello, Sofia, played by Cristin Milioti, will have a big role to play in The Batman 2. The scooper wrote, "[Cristin Milioti’s] Sofia [Falcone] will play a big role in The Batman Part [II]." However, there are no details on how big or whether she is the main villain or in what capacity. But the indication with the mention of "big" means she is about to be a major player in The Batman Epic Crime Saga.

Recently, Cristin Milioti spoke about the driving force for Sofia, saying, "I think that’s something that we also see when people sort of pursue power with such vigor, kind of asking, ‘Well, what are you? What do you think that’s going to do for you?’" She continued, "That’s also why I like this universe too. Everyone you know - Batman, his villains - are all in pursuit of healing something by gaining power and exerting their version of justice. It’s interesting."

About The Batman Part II

The Batman Part II is one of the most anticipated movies, and we already know that the team will begin shooting in 2025 as the film is now in the pre-production stage. In the same interview, Matt Reeves was asked where things stand with The Batman – Part II. He confirmed that the script is finished and filming begins next year. "Oz does become one of the entry points into the movie. I can't tell you where it goes from there, except to say that we're super excited about it," he teased.
