Thangalaan, the period action film which stars Chiyaan Vikram in the lead role, emerged as a super hit at the box office. The movie, directed by Pa Ranjith, impressed the audiences with its exceptional, making, performances, and music. If the recent updates are to be believed, Thangalaan is now gearing up for its OTT release. The OTT streaming rights of the Chiyaan Vikram starrer have been bagged by the famous platform Netflix. Reportedly, the platform has finalised the OTT release date as well.

Thangalaan OTT release date out

If the recent updates are to be believed, Thangalaan is gearing up to have its grand OTT release on Netflix, this month. The recent reports by 123Telugu suggest that the Chiyaan Vikram starrer might start streaming from the prestigious platform on September 20, 2024, over 35 days after its theatrical release. However, the makers of the Pa Ranjith directorial or Netflix have not officially announced the OTT release date, yet.

But, it is safe to assume that Thangalaan might have its OTT release on Netflix in five languages, including the original Tamil, and the dubbed Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. According to recent updates, the OTT rights of the Chiyaan Vikram starrer have been bagged by the streaming giant for a whopping price of Rs. 35 crore. If things go as planned, Netflix will announce the OTT release date of Pa Ranjith’s film in a few days, with an official announcement poster.

Thangalaan: Cast and crew

Chiyaan Vikram played Thangalaan, the protagonist in the film, while Parvathy Thiruvothu and Malavika Mohanan play his wife Gangamma and Naga leader Aarathi, respectively. Daniel Caltagirone appears as the lead antagonist Clement in the film, which stars Pasupathy, Hari Krishnan Anbudurai, Sampath Ram, Vettai Muthukumar, Krish Haasan, and others appear in the other pivotal roles. GV Prakash Kumar has composed the songs and original score. Kishor Kumar is the director of photography. Selva RK handles the editing. Thangalaan is jointly produced by Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Productions and Studio Green.
