To date, Thandel has accumulated a net total of ₹47 crore, moving closer to the ₹100 crore gross milestone, which would be the highest for Naga Chaitanya thus far. In the United States, the film has grossed over $700K and is anticipated to surpass the $1 million mark this weekend.

Chaitanya portrays a fisherman who finds himself ensnared in Pakistani waters and subsequently arrested. The narrative chronicles his journey home and his reunion with his beloved.

The music composed by DSP has achieved significant acclaim, contributing to the film's overall success. Thandel marks a return to prominence for Naga Chaitanya following a series of challenges.
