This historical action film, directed by Laxman Utekar, will depict the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, with Vicky Kaushal portraying the titular role of Sambhaji. In anticipation of the film's debut, reports indicate that the teaser for Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika's forthcoming horror-comedy, Thama, will be presented alongside Chhaava.

Recent reports suggest that the teaser for Thama will be launched in conjunction with the theatrical release of Vicky Kaushal’s historical drama Chhaava. The Free Press Journal has cited Always Bollywood, confirming that the teaser will accompany Chhaava in theatres.
In a post on their X account, they stated, “Just watched the 47-second announcement teaser promo of (Censor Copy) #Thama starring #AyushmannKhurrana #RashmikaMandanna & #NawazuddinSiddiqui. It promises to be a total wildcard journey in @MaddockFilms’ hit list. This teaser will be released with #Chhaava.”

About Chhaava
Regarding Chhaava, the film chronicles the valiant journey of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj as he confronts numerous challenges and stands firm against the Mughal Empire, emphasizing his courage and enduring legacy.
This cinematic work is inspired by Shivaji Sawant's Marathi novel Chhava, which portrays Sambhaji Maharaj's trials and ultimate martyrdom in his struggle against the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
In addition to Vicky, Rashmika Mandanna is set to portray Maharani Yesubai, the wife of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Akshaye Khanna will take on the role of Aurangzeb, while Ashutosh Rana will depict Hambirrao Mohite. Diana Penty is cast as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum, Aurangzeb's daughter.
The ensemble cast also includes Divya Dutta as Soyarabai Bhosale, along with Vineet Kumar, Santosh Juvekar, Neil Bhoopaam, and Pradeep Rawat.
According to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), the runtime of Chhaava is 2 hours, 41 minutes, and 50 seconds. The film is scheduled for release in theatres on February 14.
