The makers of Thalavan, the investigative thriller starring Asif Ali and Biju Menon, have officially announced that there will be a sequel. People's expectations for a sequel were raised by the film's several unresolved subplots. In the meantime, Malayalam witnessed several box office successes this year that will undoubtedly have follow-ups. But audiences, particularly movie buffs, believe that the makers are not going to keep them waiting for too long.

Malaikottai Valiban (Disney+ Hotstar)

The audience's responses to the film, which is directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, have been divided. The movie's ending sequence gave away that a sequel was already in the works. Malaikottai Vaaliban 2 is anticipated to delve into the background of the title character and his journey back to his native land.

Anweshippin Kandethum (Netflix)
