Thalapathy Vijay is all set to bid goodbye to cinema, to pursue a career in politics. Before taking a long break from the industry, the biggest crowd-puller of Tamil cinema is joining hands with acclaimed filmmaker H Vinoth for his 69th project. The movie, which has been tentatively titled Thalapathy 69, was officially announced a few days back. As per the recent updates, Vijay and H Vinoth’s film is set to have its official Pooja ceremony on the first weekend of October 2024.

Thalapathy 69 Pooja ceremony date is out

If the recent updates are to be believed, the highly anticipated Thalapathy 69 pooja ceremony is expected to be held on Friday, October 4, 2024. As always, the Vijay starrer is expected to have a private pooja, which will be only attended by the cast and crew members of the film, and a few selected guests. The shooting, however, is slated to begin a day later, on Saturday, October 5, 2024.

Thalapathy 69 shoot update

According to the grapevine, the Thalapathy 69 team is to shoot an elaborate song sequence in the first schedule of the film, which will begin on October 5, 2024, in Chennai. The song sequence is expected to be shot in a brief schedule that will be wrapped up in less than two weeks. Along with leading man Thalapathy Vijay, popular actress Pooja Hegde, who is reportedly playing the female lead in Thalapathy 69, will also join the first schedule of the film.

Thalapathy 69: Cast and crew

The movie reportedly marks Pooja Hegde’s reunion with Thalapathy Vijay, after the 2022-released film Beast. Earlier, it was rumored that Mohanlal is playing a pivotal role in the film. However, recent updates suggest that the Malayalam actor is not a part of the project. Premalu actress Mamitha Baiju is expected to play a key role in the film. Anirudh Ravichander composes the songs and original score. Sathyan Sooryan handles the cinematography of the film, produced by KVN Productions.
