Following the cast and crew reveal of Thalapaty 69, the launch ceremony of Thalapathy 69, the upcoming Tamil film starring actor Vijay in the lead role, took place in Chennai on Friday. Directed by H Vinoth, the film features a star ensemble from various film industries.

KVN Productions is bankrolling Thalapathy 69, which is expected to be Vijay's final film before he retires from cinema to concentrate on full-time politics. Recently, the makers have been giving update after another about the cast and crew of the film. Thalapathy 69 is a star-studded affair, which will feature actors from various industries.
On Friday, the launch of Thalapathy 69 took place in Chennai. The prominent cast members, along with Vijay took part in the event. KVN Productions also took to social media to share some photos from the event that took place.
Apart from Vijay, the film will also star Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, Gautham Menon, Priyamani, Narain, Mamitha Baiju and others. However, their roles have been kept under wraps for now. The technical crew of Thapalathy 69 was also unveiled. While Pooja Hegde has earlier worked with Vijay in Beast, Gautham has shared the screen space with Vijay in Leo. Prakash Raj and Vijay have worked in many films before, namely Ghilli, Sivakasi and Pokkiri.

While Sathyan Sooryan is cranking the camera, Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music. Anlarasu is the stunt coordinator of the film, with Pradeep E Ragav handling the edits. The film is expected to go on floors soon, with the makers for a release sometime in October 2025.
Thalapathy 69 is special for more than one reason, because it is expected to be the farewell film for Vijay before he jumps into full-time politics. Vinoth had earlier clarified that that film will not be a political one, but a commercial entertainer.
