One of the newest cast members of actor Vijay and director H Vinoth's eagerly awaited film, Thalapathy 69 (working title still to be decided), is Mamitha Baiju. In the meantime, a video of the young actress expressing how much she wants to work with the Tamil star is being widely shared on social media.

The widely shared video is an excerpt from an interview Mamitha did earlier this year while promoting her box office hit, Premalu. It depicts her talking about manifesting to be in a movie starring Vijay eventually. "There is a certain wave of excitement that his films bring to theatres and I have grown up watching as well as enjoying it," she stated. The Super Sharanya star continued by saying that, as a result, she had always considered playing a part in a Vijay movie at some point. She also mentioned that she had seen Ghilli multiple times and that it was one of her favourite films. 

The actress has already shared photos of herself and Vijay during the launch ceremony of Thalapathy 69. Malayalis are ecstatic to see her in this eagerly anticipated movie, along with the other remarkable performers in the cast, and expect her to have a major role in the film. Rebel, starring GV Prakash, was the young star's Tamil debut film. She first gained fame with Premalu, which turned out to be a huge success this year.

Thalapathy 69 updates

It is expected that the Vijay film will be his last movie before he leaves to pursue a full-time career in politics. With this project, H Vinoth, the director of critically acclaimed films like Thunivu, Sathuranga Vettai, and Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, will collaborate with Vijay for the first time. Anirudh Ravichander will compose the soundtrack for the movie. The film's creators are eyeing an October 2025 release date. KVN Productions is providing funding for the movie.
