A while back, we mentioned that a Tamil movie called Aghathiyaa is in the works. Jiiva is taking the lead in this one, and it's scheduled to hit theaters on January 31. Before that, the team behind Aghathiyaa dropped the film's teaser on social media this past Friday.

Aghathiyaa teaser has dropped

Aghathiyaa, the upcoming horror fantasy flick featuring Jiiva and directed by lyricist Pa Vijay, just dropped its teaser on Friday. Set to premiere in theaters on January 31, the movie boasts a star-studded cast that includes Arjun Sarja, Raashii Khanna, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Reddin Kingsley, and more.

The teaser kicks off with a voiceover hinting at a mysterious event that took place in a bungalow back in 1940. A woman claims they have no ties to it, but a man insists otherwise. We get a glimpse of some visually stunning fantasy scenes as characters from both the past and present are introduced. With the tagline ‘Angels VS Devil’, Aghathiyaa promises an epic showdown between good and evil forces.

Aghathiyaa is set to drop on its release date

Aghathiyaa is set to hit theaters on January 31. This horror fantasy will be available in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Pa Vijay is not only directing but also wrote the film.

The movie is produced by Dr. Ishari K Ganesh and Aneesh Arjun Dev. The technical team features Dipak Kumar Padhy as the cinematographer, while San Lokesh is in charge of editing. P Shanmugan takes care of the art direction. Plus, Pa Vijay has contributed as the lyricist as well.

Jiiva was recently spotted in the sci-fi thriller drama Black, which you can catch on Prime Video. Directed by KG Balasubramani, the movie also features Priya Bhavani Shankar. It tells the story of a couple who head to their villa on the city's outskirts for a weekend getaway, only to find themselves caught in a black hole and facing some crazy timeline changes.
